Featuring: Cindy Evans, Our All-Star Service Advisor

If you’ve ever stepped foot through Foothill Auto Service’s doors, chances are you’ve been greeted cheerfully by one of our fantastic service advisors Cindy Evans. Cindy is the glue within our Foothill team, and she holds immense respect within our entire team. Cindy began her journey with Foothill in 2017 & we couldn’t imagine life without her. Before she joined our team, Cindy was a service advisor and has over 30 years of experience under her belt. She worked for dealerships & chain automotive brands over the years, building her knowledge & expertise. However, Cindy was ready for a change & had heard great things about how Glenn did business and ran his team & decided to stop by one day to check out the shop herself, and the rest is history. But before we get into her time at Foothill, let’s learn a little bit more about Cindy Evans & her background.

Cindy grew up in a car-loving family, her father was a drag racer, and she recalls living and breathing them from a young age and even started wrenching on them! Following in her father’s footsteps, at the young age of 14, she started racing her own Camaro, that she and her father built, on the track. By the time Cindy was 16 years old, she had landed her first job working as a mechanic, doing everything from regular maintenance and fluid changes to complete tune-ups. In 1996, Cindy and her custom-built Camaro were featured in Hot Rod Magazine. Cindy’s favorite cars have always been American muscle cars such as the Pontiac Firebird &, of course, Camaros. She loves all car modifications, everything from custom paint to the rumble of aftermarket exhaust systems and a vehicle’s stance, complete with custom wheels and tires.

When speaking about the company culture at Foothill, Cindy noted what a wonderful place Foothill is to work. Her favorite part about working at Foothill is the team dynamic that flows through Foothill from front and back. Everyone works as a team to ensure that any customer who comes through the doors is 100% satisfied. Even though Cindy is the only woman in the shop, she states how she gets along with the crew. We have lunch-ins together, Christmas parties, and coffee or ice cream as a team. Glenn makes every event pleasant when we all get together. Cindy adds homey touches to Foothill when she brings in her famous homemade strawberry shortcake (Glenn’s favorite) or peanut butter brownies from time to time.

Cindy is usually the first face you see when walking into Foothill. She will initially greet each customer, take down all information for their car & explore what services are needed. Cindy works closely with all of our expert technicians to communicate clearly with each customer. She is often the person calling to let them know the status of their vehicle & all the incredible work that has been done. Cindy is also the person at the shop when you pick up your vehicle & explains our Foothill warranty.

“Glenn and Cindy are as honest and hard-working as they come! I took my 2006 Toyota Tacoma with 240,000 miles on it to 4 different mechanics BEFORE finally going to Foothill Auto Service. My truck was convulsing and having seizures (as I like to call it) around 40 – 60 mph and nobody knew what it was. I even replaced the driveshaft because one of those mechanics said that was the problem. Nope, didn’t fix it. BUT when I went to Foothill Auto, Glenn said I may just need to get the transmission flushed. I was highly skeptical about that, but felt like I had exhausted all other options, so I agreed to do that. Voila! Much to my amazement, that was it!!
