They provide licenses and help regulate automotive repair dealers, check the safety and legitimization of Smog Check stations and technicians, test brake and lamp stations, and adjusters. The ASCCA has taken the liberty to help consumers find accessible repair shops that meet the BAR protocols and locate shops that have any disciplinary actions against them. The locator displays shops on an interactive map using the consumer's location or a specific city or zip code. It is keeping the same employees under the same loyal employer with a nice bonus! The law sets aside $100 million and will be provided to businesses that qualify on a first-come, first-served basis. Employee Notification-COVID-19: This law requires public and private employers to, among other things, notify all employees and subcontractor employees, within one business day, regarding potential exposure to COVID-19. This is enacted for the safety of the employees, employers, and loyal customers. It establishes standards that employers must follow in handling potential COVID-19 vulnerabilities and outbreaks and provides the Cal-OSHA oversight to protect employees and enforce the law. Expansion of California Rights Act: With at least five employees, this new law requires employers to grant an employee up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for family care. This is essential for families to have quality time together without the worry and stress of unpaid time off. It requires the employer to reinstate the employee returning from leave to the same or comparable position.
